Controlling a screen in AB Tutor
Description
The control function allows you to remotely control a student’s mouse and keyboard from your station.
To control another station
- Follow the steps listed under Watch to watch a station.
 - There are two types of control:
				
- To take complete control, click on the “Lockout” button on the control window. The student will not be able to use the keyboard and mouse.

 - To share control with the student, click on the “Shared” button on the control window.  Both you and the student will be able to us the keyboard and mouse.

 
 - To take complete control, click on the “Lockout” button on the control window. The student will not be able to use the keyboard and mouse.
 
To stop controlling
- Click on the “Lockout” or “Shared” as appropriate do deactivate the control. You will then still be watching the student computer.
 - Or you click on “Close” in the control window to stop both watching and controlling the student computer.
 

Tips on controlling another station
- A controlled station will not be as responsive as your own station. This means that there will be a slight delay when moving the mouse or typing.
 - Text quality may be degraded slightly. Increase the zoom level or the font size for more a more readable display.
