Administrative Support Job Description
Administrative Support Trainee II (SAIII $9.75/hr)
Duties:
All duties expected of Administrative Support Trainee I and the following:
- Direct visitors and phone calls to appropriate Computer Lab Management personnel
- Perform general office tasks without supervision
- Acquire a working knowledge of and begin training as backup on at least one specialized administrative duty
- Serve as an integral part of the planning process for Boot Camp and quarterly events
- Write and/or update documentation on basic office procedures as assigned by the Admin Support Supervisor or Lab Manager
- Complete assigned special projects on time under the direction of the Admin Support Supervisor or Lab Manager
- Responsible for keeping the Admin Support Supervisor or Lab Manager fully informed of progress, problems, changes in completion dates, etc. in relation to special projects
- Work at least one shift in a computer lab
Requirements:
All requirements listed for Administrative Support Trainee I and the following:
- Skill to communicate effectively with faculty, staff and students verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated experience completing verbal and written tasks accurately and in a timely manner
- Must have a history with Computer Lab Management of arriving punctually to assigned shifts
- Skill in working cooperatively and effectively in one-on-one and group relationships
- Show at least basic skills in Word, Excel, email and web browsing
- Works satisfactorily with minimal supervision
- Show a professional manner and attitude
- Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
- Ability to prioritize tasks (i.e. determine what tasks are more important and those tasks more of your attention, energy, and time)
- Know location and type of all Computer Lab Management computer labs
- Show basic knowledge of Computer Lab Management services
- Must have performed satisfactorily at the Trainee I level for a minimum of one quarter
