Administrative Support Junior (SAIII $11.50/hr)


All duties expected of Administrative Support Trainee and the following:

  • Direct visitors and phone calls to other Academic Technology Services personnel
  • Train new Admin Support Trainees on general tasks
  • Satisfactorily perform your assigned duties on time with minimal supervision
  • Train other employees on your assigned duties
  • Serve as backup on one specialized administrative duty
  • Take a leadership role in one area of special events planning
  • Train and work at least one shift in all of the following:
    • Open Access Computer Room
    • Computer Classroom
    • Media Facility
  • Edit and create new documentation on your duties as assigned by the Admin Support Supervisor or Lab Manager
  • Manage ongoing special projects independently

  • Can supervise other office employees under the guidance of the Admin Support Supervisor or Lab Manager
  • Skill in solving problems to complete tasks. (i.e. define the task, set priorities, develop appropriate strategy, determine steps to accomplish, and develop and carry out an action plan)
  • Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner
  • Time management skills and ability to plan ahead
  • Must have a working knowledge of policies and procedures in the computer facilities
  • Skill in working independently and following through on assignments and projects
  • Show basic knowledge of other ATS services
  • Must have performed satisfactorily at the Trainee level for a minimum of two quarters
